There will be example apps in the new Quickstart page shipping on 04 Oct. I’m not sure if jQuery will be covered, but we are releasing SDKs and example apps on 04 Oct even though it’s still in the middle of beta testing.

Here’s a link to the develop branch of the repo. It uses jQuery to make AJAX calls to your DreamFactory instance. Be aware it’s still in active development until the first release next week. Also the repo name may change because it’s a sample app, not really an SDK.
