Directory is not recognized under /api/v2/files/

I am using latest version of dream factory, 2.5.0-1 in Linux OS. Created a new directory, CLIENTmetadata, under …/htdocs/storage/app which is nothing but: /api/v2/files under APIs.

Problem is that I cannot POST any files under newly created folder/container/directory. I am getting the following error even after changing permissions to 777.

The requested URL /api/v2/files/CLIENTmetadata/myData.json was not found on this server.

Please share your thoughts/solution.
