No, DreamFactory is free to use and open source under the Apache license.
We do sell development and production support plans for our open source product.
We also sell an enterprise product called DreamFactory Enterprise, which is not open source and costs money to license in production (Enterprise is free to use for development purposes, you license it when you got to production). It is used to manage the open source runtime (multi-tenancy, instance management in dev, test, and production, API limits, API reporting, and more).
